The fun atmosphere of PadThai wokbars was no longer reflected in the style of the old website, so the client felt it was time to rethink its web presence. The brand identity was designed by Timko Biborka, and as the brand is made up of many small elements, it was a pleasure to work with. When designing the UX of the website, our primary task was to provide users with a more transparent, easily understandable interface.
Padthai Wokbar is a pleasant island in the noise of the big city, a place that creates harmony with the urban life and the tranquillity radiated by Eastern cultures. They decided to go against the current paradigms: they believe that a quick meal can also be healthy and high-quality. The padthai success story is happening! Nothing is eternal, so time has passed the restaurant's old website by. The old site was difficult for the client to use, and it didn't adequately convey the brand feel that every customer would have at a PadThai Wokbar. The client therefore felt it was time to rethink their website and wanted to see better, more responsive solutions.
Our development partner, Media Digital Agency, asked us to solve their UX/UI problems. In terms of UX, the biggest challenge was to present the restaurant's large menu in a responsive framework. Although awareness is important in the life of the restaurant, the nutrition calculator tool was not enough of a focus on the site, so we included it in the main features. The whole interface of the site has been designed to be clearer and more transparent.
The visuals of the restaurant were created by TIMKO BIBORKA. PadThai Wokbar's identity is made up of a lot of small elements and becomes a complex whole, which made the UI design process much easier and more enjoyable. We could easily adapt the elements to a specific situation/block.
The result is a website with the same look and feel, which reflects the atmosphere of the PadThai Wokbar restaurants much better. We have also managed to translate the identity into a web environment, so that we can now experience the fun environment of the restaurants on our screens. In addition, the site has been awarded the 2022 Month of the Year award in the hospitality category, which we are very proud of.
Over the years, the Pantheon has become a gathering place for vintage car enthusiasts from Basel and the surrounding area. The impressive building houses a wonderful exhibition, and we have created a website that brings a piece of the past into the future.
